Recent Updates:
In support of my research I have been awarded the Campbell Endowed Fellowship.
In recognition for my robust research I was also awarded the prestigious Dissertation Program Fellowship for the 2026 - 27 academic year.
This summer I was invited to give two international talks:
1) In Berlin, Germany I will be appropriately discussing fascism: https://www.geisteswissenschaften.fu-berlin.de/we06/termine/Dismantling-Fascist-Forms.html
2) In Melbourne, Australia I will be discussing Colonialism and the Indigenous population of West Asia.
I have been invited to the ASTR (American Society of Theatre Research) conference this November where I will be presenting on the colonial body as a state of purgatory.

“Now-time” to Interrupt Fascism with Theatre

I am a PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature writing my dissertation on the intersection between theatre and fascism. I argue that theatre is a liminal space that continuously unfolds in the "now." It is in this "Now-time" with its infinite iterations that we might be able to interrupt the myth-producing machine of fascism.
